A Story To Tell
It might seem strange that a nuclear engineer would find his passion in real estate, but the two career paths actually complement each other. They both require acute attention to detail, a strong understanding of industry standards and trends, and an eye for possibilities. That is why I've been successful, and why my transition from engineering to real estate was natural.
They say we learn by example, and that is certainly true in my case. My mother has been a Realtor for over thirty years. The flexibility of work schedule she had while my brothers and I were growing up is part of the reason I started my own real estate career. I wanted to give my children the same quality and quantity of parenting time I experienced as a child.
I grew up in North Ridgeville, Ohio, a town I jokingly call "The Corn Capital of the World," earned a degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Toledo, then began a career in software development.
In the midst of my junior year, I offered to help a neighbor move into a new apartment, and met her new roommate, Mindy. You might say I believe in love at first sight, because the first time I saw Mindy, I knew something was different. It took five years and a lot of growing up on my part before she agreed to marry me, but she was worth every minute!
A Life To Live
I came to Michigan through employment with EDS Corporation, and eventually became an IT Manager at MHSI, where I began to put my customer service skills into practice.
Personal interaction is the key in my real estate career. I believe honesty, communication, trust, and respect are characteristics everyone should have.
Mindy and I and our three daughters live in Rochester Hills, and are active members in our local church. My faith has translated into acts such as purchasing and delivering groceries to families in need, and donating my time for minor household repairs. God has blessed me with so much, so I seek out ways to help others whenever I can. I am committed to educating my clients in the buying and selling process, and giving them all the information they need to make informed real estate decisions.
